Executive Chairman of Etche Local Government Area Hon. Uzodinma Nwafor has awarded the contract for the electrification of six communities in the area.
The communities to be reconnected in the first phase are; Okomoko, Egwi, Ulakwo 1 and 2, Akwukabi, Okehi 1 and 2, and Igbodo communities.
The project is expected to be completed by the first week of December this year.
Dr. Nwafor disclosed this when a socio-cultural organization of Etche Ethnic Nationality, Ogbakor-Etche Worldwide paid him a visit at the council secretariat in Okehi on Monday.
He assured Ogbakor-Etche that he will do his best, restating his commitment to the development of Etche.
