The Executive Chairman of Etche Local Government Area, Dr. Uzodinma Nwafor, has vowed to implement stringent measures to combat land grabbing and other criminal activities in Igboh-Etche.
Dr. Nwafor made this commitment on Thursday during a critical meeting with the Igboh 1 United Youths Association, where pressing issues, including land disputes and security concerns, were discussed.
The meeting addressed the ongoing land conflict between the Umuakuru and Edegelem communities, as well as the rising incidents of kidnapping, armed robbery, and the sale of illegal drugs in the area.
The chairman assured attendees that his administration, in collaboration with security agencies, is determined to restore peace and stability in the region. He called on community leaders and youth groups to partner with the government to ensure lasting solutions to security challenges.
The meeting, attended by youth leaders and traditional chiefs, concluded with a renewed commitment to collaboration for the peace and growth of the community.
