TEXT: REVELATION 22:1-7
MEMORY VERSE: “There will be no night there. And they do not need the light of a lamp nor, light of the sun, for the Lord God gives them light. And they will reign forever and ever” (Revelation 22:5 KJV).
In 1 John 5:11, we have a record that God has given to us eternal life, and which life is embodied in His Son Jesus Christ. However, death came to man through Adam, for in Adam, man was separated from God and died spiritually. But man regained life through Christ the Redeemer.
We are called to repentance to live a sanctified lifestyle in order to inherit the Kingdom of God in the end. The Messiah came to teach us the way of repentance, and back to God, in reunion. He came that we might regain life, and have it in abundance (John 10:10). But this can only become a reality when one obeys the gospel of Jesus Christ, as taught. When one obeys the gospel, he is restored to the Tree of life, Jesus; and thus gain the blessing of eternal life once more (John 10: 27-28).
But the eternal life would be possible only when a person truly accepts Jesus as Lord (Luke 6:46), transforms his mind with God’s word, and begins to live his life in holiness, as the holy Spirit beings around the throne of God in heaven.
When we get to the paradise of God, we would be free from worries, pain, sorrow, troubles, trials, and temptation. Today, man lives in a troubled world. But then, it will be a most blissful experience. It would be a case of Paradise Lost and Paradise Regained, for in Christ all things were settled. We are to tap into His abundant grace and enjoy peace forevermore in heaven.
- A wise counsel is to forsake the world and create in you the hunger for God’s Kingdom in heaven.
- Lord Jesus, I desire to be with you in paradise; like the dying thief, help me.
