TEXT: MICAH 4:1-7
MEMORY VERSE: “And many nations shall come, and say, come, and let us go to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of LORD from Jerusalem.” Micah 4:2 KJV
0 And the apostles, when they had returned, told Him all that they had done. Then He took them and went aside privately into a deserted place belonging to the city called Bethsaida. 11 But when the multitudes knew it, they followed Him; and He received them and spoke to them about the kingdom of God, and healed those who had need of healing. 12 When the day began to wear away, the twelve came and said to Him, “Send the multitude away, that they may go into the surrounding towns and country, and lodge and get provisions; for we are in a deserted lace ”
Man, as a mobile entity, always has the desire to be on the move. On daily basis, people go to several places. There are those who go to the offices, others market place, some to relaxation joints. Others tourist centres and some others to reserves, a few others just take a walk on the streets. But in all of these places of interest, there is a more better place to go to – THE MOUNTAIN.
Today’s scripture reveals that many nations long to come to the mountain. They literally travelled all the way just to connect with the mountain of the Lord. Beloved, we confirm that the mountain of the Lord is the place of direction provision (…and he will teach us of his ways…). It is not possible to miss the way in life if you come to the mountain. The mountain of the Lord is the cure to confusion of life. You can never be confused about anything in life when you come to the mountain.
Without mincing words, the mountain of the Lord is the guaranteed place for preservation “As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people from henceforth even forever.” (Psalm 125:2 KJV). To be connected to the mountain is to be preserved: “But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them afraid …” (Micah 4:4). More so, in this mountain supernatural provision is secured for you, knowing that the Lord who is your shepherd is the owner of this mountain. We urge you today to come to this figurative mountain, which is Jesus. The song writer says, ‘Run to the mountain, Jesus is the mountain, Tomorrow may be too late, Why not run to the mountain?’ Do not delay anymore. Come to the mountain this moment and you will never remain the same forever.
- Jesus is waiting for you; come to the mountain today.
- Father, thank you for providing a mountain where can find rest and receive blessings. Help us to remain steadfast in this mountain, as we come, in Jesus Name. Amen.
