TEXT: Amos 5: 1-7
MEMORY VERSE: “You who turn justice to wormwood, and by righteousness to rest in the earth.” Amos 5:7 NKJV
In this text Amos the prophet; sometimes called the angry prophet condemns leaders who fail to provide justice for their people. He laments and calls for repentance to those who turn justice into bitterness.
God hates injustice, especially among leaders whose crooked influence creates a ripple effect. The following vices which Amos noted in his days are still prevalent days:

- They abandoned morality.
- They confused values.
- They taxed the poor for selfish gain.
- They use corrupt and oppressed citizens.
- They took bribes.
- They deprived people of justice in court.
Leaders could not see their corruption. Christians are advised to desist from the above and turn a new leaf.
CHALLENGES
- Examine yourself to if you are practicing any of the above listed vices.
PRAYER POINT: Ask God to give you the power to live above such vices.
