ESOCS Devotional 23 November 2024 – It Is Done Forever
MEMORY VERSE: “I know that whatever God does, it shall be forever. Nothing can be added to it, and nothing taken from it. God does it, that men should fear before Him.” Ecclesiastes 3:14. NKJV
TEXT: ECCLESIASTES 3:1-15
To everything there is a season,
A time for every purpose under heaven:
2 A time to be born,
And a time to die;
A time to plant,
And a time to pluck what is planted;
3 A time to kill,
And a time to heal;
A time to break down,
And a time to build up;
4 A time to weep,
And a time to laugh;
A time to mourn,
And a time to dance;
5 A time to cast away stones,
And a time to gather stones;
A time to embrace,
And a time to refrain from embracing;
6 A time to gain,
And a time to lose;
A time to keep,
And a time to throw away;
7 A time to tear,
And a time to sew;
A time to keep silence,
And a time to speak;
8 A time to love,
And a time to hate;
A time of war,
And a time of peace.
9 What profit has the worker from that in which he labors? 10 I have seen the God-given task with which the sons of men are to be occupied. 11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.
12 I know that nothing is better for them than to rejoice, and to do good in their lives, 13 and also that every man should eat and drink and enjoy the good of all his labor—it is the gift of God.
14 I know that whatever God does,
It shall be forever.
Nothing can be added to it,
And nothing taken from it.
God does it, that men should fear before Him.
15 That which is has already been,
And what is to be has already been;
And God requires an account of what is past.

The world we live in is a place where things are done per time. In fact, it is the doing of things that makes the world eventful and a place to reckon with. There is never a dull moment when things are done. People naturally will move to where things are done always.
It is this reason that makes several persons to keep doing things and attempting to ensure that things are done. On the other hand, demons and the agents of darkness are not left out in the scheme of things. Everyone, both humans and demons, heavily commit themselves to doing things always.
But the good news is that everything done by humans and demons are transient in nature. The only thing that can stand the test of time is what God does. Yes! Whatsoever God does shall be forever. Let this knowledge sink inside of you, that as long as it is God that did it, then it must last forever. The devil and his agents do not have the capacity to do any permanent thing. This is because every tree that is not planted by our heavenly father shall be uprooted; today we root out everything done by man or demons against you and your family, in the name of Jesus Christ.
God ensures that the permanent things He does in our lives, nothing is added to it. Today, we decree with God’s authority that every power that wants to add anything negative into what God has done for you is arrested forever, in the name of Jesus. We resist and frustrate every demonic addition to your life, destiny and family, in the name of Jesus.
More so, God is committed to ensure that there is no form of subtraction. No force can remove from you what God has given to you. We decree by the power of God, every agenda from the pit of hell to take away the good things God has done for you is nullified today, in the name of Jesus. What God has done for you cannot be diminished; your joy and favour cannot be reduced; your great open doors cannot be made narrow, in the name of Jesus Christ.
Furthermore, the security God mounts over what He does for us and permanent them is so that man should fear before Him. God commands men’s fear through His acts in our lives. We believe that what God is doing for you shall compel men to fear God, in the name of Jesus.
- Understand that God does only good things and it last forever.
- No power or force can tamper with what God does for you.
- Everything God does for us will draw men to fear God more.
- Thank you, Lord, for the wonderful things you are doing in our lives. I know that they will remain permanent and no power can tamper with them, in the name of Jesus Christ.
