TEXT: DANIEL 2:13-24
MEMORY VERSE: “Then Daniel went in, and desired of the king that he would give him time, and that he would shew the king the interpretation”Daniel 2:16 KJV
0 And the apostles, when they had returned, told Him all that they had done. Then He took them and went aside privately into a deserted place belonging to the city called Bethsaida. 11 But when the multitudes knew it, they followed Him; and He received them and spoke to them about the kingdom of God, and healed those who had need of healing. 12 When the day began to wear away, the twelve came and said to Him, “Send the multitude away, that they may go into the surrounding towns and country, and lodge and get provisions; for we are in a deserted lace ”
In life, all you need pray for is to have time, so that God Almighty might prove Himself merciful to you and show your enemies that there is still God in our generation.
You’re too in a haste, and even though you’re not in a haste, pay attention to your humanity, that is, the natural man in you. Work on it until it becomes a spiritual man. It could be that you’re working outside God’s mandate for you because if it is God, in due time, He will show up for you, definitely.
The King’s dream was a spiritual secret that must be known. But Daniel didn’t just fold his hands and hope that this secret will come in its time. He did what psalm 91:1 says: He went to his quiet room and dwelt in the secret place of the Most High. He couldn’t have known this secret without going into the realm of the secret (spiritual) – the realm of prayers. You cannot pray for something once and twice and relax. There is a secret place of the Most High, where secret things are revealed to God’s elects.
In Daniel 2:19, the Bible says that the secret was revealed to Daniel in a night vision. This means, Daniel might have prayed at night also, and have this same revelation at night. So, you must tep up your prayer power. Pray at midnight; there is something mysteriously powerful about praying at night. The Lord is more open to send His Angels to you at night to attend to you.
So, all you need to tell them is that they should give you time – it could be in your office, school, in the Market, and at home – anywhere at all. Don’t delve into the plan without asking them to give you time to ask about the secret of the matter in prayers.
- Dear brethren, pray to God to show you a matter before you rush into it. You need time to pray, plan and prepare.
- May God grant you grace and Wisdom like that of Daniel in Jesus Christ’s name; Amen.
