TEXT: LUKE 7:11-23
MEMORY VERSE: “And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not.” Luke 7:13 KJV
0 And the apostles, when they had returned, told Him all that they had done. Then He took them and went aside privately into a deserted place belonging to the city called Bethsaida. 11 But when the multitudes knew it, they followed Him; and He received them and spoke to them about the kingdom of God, and healed those who had need of healing. 12 When the day began to wear away, the twelve came and said to Him, “Send the multitude away, that they may go into the surrounding towns and country, and lodge and get provisions; for we are in a deserted lace ”
Many times the troubles of life come to empty us of all that we have got or labored for. They come to completely drain us of everything we have, leaving us devastated. This was the case of the widow in our text whose only son died, and was only waiting for burial before mercy located her, and said, “No!”
There are several people going through so many challenges at the moment. It looks as if all hope is lost. May be death just stole one of your most cherished and precious persons away or maybe you lost something very valuable, and it looks as if your life is at a standstill. Today, we bring you a message of hope – Weep not. Jesus Christ located them when it appeared there was no more solution; and He restored life and joy to her. Hear this, it does not matter how far the enemy has taken your joy. Compassion from God is locating you today and your tears shall be wiped off, in the name of Jesus.
No tears survives in the presence of Jesus Christ. Today, He is standing by your side and saying, “Weep not” because your burdens shall be taken away. Your reproach shall be ended. Your shame shall be ended. Whatever you lost shall be recovered. Comfort is coming your way today, in the name of Jesus.
Don’t forget, the Lord says, Weep not – wipe your tears.
- Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might, wipe your tears.
- Father, thank you for your compassion towards me, wipe my tears away and restore my joy, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
