TEXT: REVELATION 5:1-14
MEMORY VERSE: “Saying with a loud voice, worthy is the lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.” Revelation 5:12 KJV
In our text today, the picture of the judgment throne of God is revealed. Remarkable is the despair and hopelessness expressed by the writer, following the understanding that “… no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon.” In verses 7 and 8, John saw in a vision that which had already taken place – the picture of the Son of Man, who ascended unto the Ancient of Days in order to receive dominion, glory, and kingdom reign (Dan. 7: 13, 14; Eph. 1:20-22).
In verses 7-13, when the Lamb came and took the book, we see a reflection of the record of Philippians 2:9-11, as the four beasts, the twenty-four elders, and the hosts of heaven fell down in worship. It is clear that when Jesus ascended to the Father at the end of His earthly assignment, He began His rule over all things. It is therefore, not questionable that all should now fall down before Him in worship (Phil. 2:8-11).
In verses 9 and 10, Jesus is acclaimed to be worthy of all praises. Yes! He is worthy for He alone could carry out the predestined plan of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit, to redeem man by the crucifixion of the incarnate Son (John 1:29). As a kingdom of priests, Christians now reign with Christ, who is the authority behind the word they speak, for they speak as proxies for the King of kings (Rev. 1:6; Rev. 12:48; Rom. 1:16; 2 Cor. 5:18). Therefore, come, o ye His saints, and let us adore Him!

CHALLENGES
If you agree that Jesus is the Redeemer and grand universal authority, to what extent have you joined the saints of Revelation 5:11-14 in worship and adoration. Meditate.
PRAYER POINT
Lord, please grant me the humble spirit of the saints, to join in the only true worship in the universe. Amen.
