TEXT: ISAIAH 25:1-9
MEMORY VERSE: “O Lord, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.” Isaiah 25:1 KJV
0 And the apostles, when they had returned, told Him all that they had done. Then He took them and went aside privately into a deserted place belonging to the city called Bethsaida. 11 But when the multitudes knew it, they followed Him; and He received them and spoke to them about the kingdom of God, and healed those who had need of healing. 12 When the day began to wear away, the twelve came and said to Him, “Send the multitude away, that they may go into the surrounding towns and country, and lodge and get provisions; for we are in a deserted lace ”
Most times believers fail to understand the mystery of praising God, which carries His glory and splendor and move Him into actions without fail.
God’s splendor is in His glory – the glory you give to Him through praises, especially; and this moves Him to do miraculous things in your life. Isaiah understood this truth. In verse 5, he said that God shall pull down the noise of the strangers for the sake of His praise.
When you want to touch the heart of the King, in order to pull down the gates of evil, be ready to make your tongue the pen of a ready writer (Psalm 45:1). Make sure you sing praises to God continually. David had this wisdom. At the walls of Jericho, the children of Israel didn’t just fight any battle. They only sang God’s praise, and the walls fell down. Paul and Silas in the prison used this praise to break chains holding them down.
You might have been held down by some chains of worries, disappointment, limitations, evil oppression, near success syndrome and the rest. The mystery of praise can still work wonders for you. Beloved, this spiritual exercise works wonders. God is still moving in different ways for His glory through praises.
- Meditate on Isaiah 25:8; and learn how God can be moved by your praises to swallow up death in victory.
- Father, grant me victory in all dimensions, as I praise you all the time, in Jesus’ name; Amen!
