TEXT: 1 SAMUEL 14:1-15
MEMORY VERSE: “And Jonathan said to the young man that bare his armour, come and let us go over unto the garrison of these uncircumcised; it may be that the Lord will work for us; for there is no restraint to the Lord to save by many or by few.” 1 Samuel 14:6 KJV
Faith means walking in God’s instruction to get His intervention. You have to make an effort for God to bring about the effect. It was the action of Jonathan that drove fear into the camp of the Philistines after he and his amour bearer had killed up to twenty soldiers.
Do you know that what you do moves God more than what you say? Yes, because faith remains a fairytale until action is in place. Listen, to every word of faith there must be a corresponding action. Work up your faith to boiling point like Jonathan. Take note of the following:
Faith can be seen – Mark 2:5
Faith can be felt – Mark 5:29
Faith can be heard – Mark 10:49
Beloved, in what situation or battle of life have you found yourself? You have confessed all the word and promises of God you know but to no avail. Try acting on that faith because confession without action ends in confusion. Conclude with this: “Unbelief makes too much analysis until it becomes paralysis.”
