TEXT: EZEKIEL 47:1-12
MEMORY VERSE: “And it shall come to pass, that everything that liveth,, which moveth, whithersoever the rivers shall come, shall live: and there shall be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters shall come thither: for they shall be healed; and everything shall live whither the river cometh” (Ezekiel 47:9).
God’s overall plan for mankind is to have blissful existence. A trouble-free world that would be filled with His goodness and pleasantries. Therefore, He commands healing in every area of human existence. He imbued in nature the capacity to heal all manner of pestilence and infirmities. He supervises the restoration of good health to the sick; prosperity to devasted and impoverished people; life to the dead; upliftment to the down-trodden; and He gives victory abundantly to all those who fear and honour Him.
The Scripture says, “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and live in good health, even as thy soul prospereth” (3 John 2). Above all, that we may prosper in God’s ways; in the knowledge of Him and understanding of His kingdom principles, and living by them.
However, humanity has failed to key into this glorious plan; rather, we have chosen our separate ways. We defy His commandments and will every time across the world.
Nevertheless, God still loves us. His thought for mankind is always for good (Jer. 29:11). He desires that we should realize our mistakes and return to Him. He will abundantly forgive the world and restore it as it was in the Garden of Eden.
But we should not wait for the world. We should make personal reversal and return to Him in our hearts. Let the world bear its shame but let us return to glory and peace with the Lord. He is waiting for our return; and He would heal our lives, when we decide to become His saints. He has promised:“For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds …” (Jer. 30:17).
- What plans do you have to remain a saint all through life?
- Lord, be merciful and heal our land and pour your goodness upon
