ESOCS Devotional 19 July
TEXT: HOSEA 11:1-END
MEMORY VERSE: “Will they not return to Egypt and will not Assyria rule over them because they refuse to repent.” Hosea 11:5 NIV
God loves Israel but the more God loves them, the more they stray from Him and sacrifice to Baals and burn incense to images. He has showed kindness to Israel yet they did not realize nor appreciate the leading power of God. God made provisions to them and yet Israel did not consider that but follow after other gods.

Despite the love of God had for Israel He punished them since they refused to repent. He allowed their enemies to rule over them after invading their country.
This should open our eyes to know that God is loving, kind and merciful but still punishes sinners if they refuse to repent. Please repent of your sins and avert the wrath of God Romans 6:15
CHALLENGES
- Sin is a reproach so avoid it like a plague.
PRAYER POINT: Ask God to give you the power to live above sin.
