TEXT: REVELATION 12:12-17
MEMORY VERSE: “But the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed up the flood which the dragon had spewed out of his mouth.” Revelation 12:16 (ASV)
Job 5:23 says, “For thou shalt be in league (have a covenant or be confederate) with the stones of the field; and the beasts of the field shall be at peace with thee” (Job 5:23). The heritage of people who truly belong to God is enormous. These are people who worship Him in spirit and in truth (John 4:24). Their way of life makes it possible for God to protect them continually. They are not afraid because their confidence is in God; and their defence is of God. He delights in them greatly; and so, “No weapon formed against [them] shall prosper; and every tongue which rises against [them] in judgement [they] shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD…” (Isaiah 54:17). Nothing harms them. God is always with them wherever they go (Isaiah 43:1-2). He says to them: “Fear not: for I am with you” (V 5).
He does everything good for them. He commands everything that He has created to cooperate (be in league or have a covenant or be confederate) with them (Ex. 14:21); and be of service to them, whether spiritual or temporal (1 Kings 17:4, 6). He provides for them in mysterious ways, even where they did not labour (Josh. 24:13). Through His grace and love, He supplies what they need (Phil. 4:19). Enemies don’t harm them. The scripture says: “When a man’s ways please the LORD, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him” (Prov. 16:7).

The woman was pregnant with a child; a child God cherished. God had great value for what she had inside her. What do we have inside us that please our Father and God? Do we carry anything inside us that is of great value to God? What kind of thoughts do we have in our minds? What manner of things do we keep in our hearts? Would they lead to actions that would be of benefit to us and others? Do they make our hearts pure and clean or corrupt it? We should always be pregnant with only things that are good, pleasant, righteous, upright, and edifying. We should fill our lives with acts of integrity. This is the only way we can stand strong and be faithful in our relationship with God. We have to be pregnant with godliness, holiness, humility, meekness, godly love, and openness of heart towards others, kind- heartedness, mildness towards others, and everything that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. God has deposited so much goodness in us. They are meant to set us on the right path to fulfilling His purpose and our destiny. Let us not throw them away. Let us be pregnant with goodness – things that are of virtue, and edify.
