TEXT: I CORINTHIANS 6:12-20
MEMORY VERSE: “For ye are bought with a price: therefore, glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.” I Corinthians 6:20
Man was created to give God pleasure as recorded in Revelation 4:11. This was re-echoed in I Corinthians 6:20, which accounts for why God made man in His own image and likeness. What a privilege! God went further to make man the dwelling place of the Holy Spirit, which implies that every human is a carrier of the Holy Spirit. However, the continued stay of the Holy Spirit in humans is highly dependent on what takes place in the body.
We are therefore, reminded this day on the need to keep the dwelling place of the Holy Spirit fit, as a vessel of glory and honour unto God. Let everyone deliberately flee from all sort of sexual immorality and all manner of things that dishonour God. As clearly stated in today’s text, we were bought with a price and our bodies are members of Christ. Let this consciousness be in everyone as touching honouring the Lord with our bodies.
Fornication and adultery are two strong weapons the devil uses in fighting the body of Christ. Sadly, some have fallen to this antic of the devil, giving way for the Holy Spirit to flee such vessels. The body of Christ (the Church) must be fully aware of this and guard against it. The bottom-line is for everyone to put their bodies under self-control, and not to lose sight of the intention of God giving us the body. Let the married remain faithful in sexual affairs. Let the unmarried remain pure as touching defilement, for whosoever that shall not honour and glorify God with their bodies are as good as existing rather than living. He is the Lord, His glory should no man share with Him.

CHALLENGES
Be reminded that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost and therefore should not be mingled with fornication and adultery or any defilement. Possess it always in sanctification and honour.
PRAYER POINT
Lord, make me a vessel unto honour. Lord, keep me glorifying you all the days of my life.
