TEXT: 2 CORINTHIANS 5:1-21
MEMORY VERSE: “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body according to what he has done, whether good or bad.” 2 Corinthians 5:10 NKJV
The sure hope that Jesus is coming again to take the true believers to eternal home is the reason why true believers deny themselves of the pleasures of this wicked world and get committed to the service of God.
The Bible has made it clear that a day of judgment shall come when everybody will be paid back according to their deeds, whether good or bad. For the righteous, Jesus has promised to reward them. “And behold I come quickly and my reward is with me, to give every man according to his work shall be” (Revelation 22:12 KJV).
The memory verse says that we must appear before the judgment seat of Christ, no exception. Jesus has prepared many mansions for the righteous in heaven. Will you be there? Get prepared before it is too late. But the wicked will he throw into a lake of fire burning with fire, brimstone, and Sulphur, where there will be crying and gnashing of teeth for ever. Avoid it now by preparing for eternity in the throne of God.
Therefore, accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour. Everything we do on earth will be judged and rewarded, whether it is good deed or bad deed. Nothing is neutral.
