ESOCS Devotional 10 July
TEXT: DANIEL 9:3-19
MEMORY VERSE: “Then I set my face toward the Lord God to make request by prayer and supplications with fasting, sackcloth, and ashes. And I prayed to the Lord my God, and made confession, and said…” Daniel 9:3,4 NKJV.
There are times when we need to pray for and on behalf of other members of the Church, neighbours, friends even our enemies. Prayer of intercession is a prayer to God on behalf of another. Daniel set out days to intercede on behalf of the Israel nations for God to have mercy.

We are called into the ministry but we selfishly turned the prayer time with into “only personal needs application time.” Missionaries have been saved from dangers in foreign, horrible places and persons because of intercession. Lord Jesus is calling us back to the ministry of intercession. For it is the ministry that moves the “hand of God” for His people and unsaved souls.
CHALLENGE
- In what areas are you interceding in the church of God.
PRAYER POINT: Pray for the Holy Spirit to enable you intercede for others.
