President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has declared that the era of empty promises and abandoned projects in Nigeria is over, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to inclusive development and effective service delivery.
Speaking on Friday through Vice President Kashim Shettima at the commissioning of the newly rehabilitated Aguma Palace–Radio Nigeria–New Market Road in Gwagwalada Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Tinubu said development must now be seen as a right for all citizens, not a privilege for a select few.
The 13.5km road project, completed under the supervision of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, is one of several infrastructure initiatives aimed at improving mobility and boosting local economies in the territory.
Describing the project as a symbol of dignity, safety, and opportunity, Tinubu stressed that rebuilding infrastructure was key to restoring public confidence in governance.
“The days of empty promises and abandoned projects are behind us,” the president declared. “We are not just building infrastructure; we are building confidence in governance.”
