The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has stated that the resolution of his rift with suspended Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has unsettled those who benefited from the prolonged crisis.
Speaking during a media chat in Abuja on Thursday, Wike said peace has now returned to Rivers State following his reconciliation with Fubara, despite the displeasure of what he described as “enemies of progress.”
The former Rivers State governor accused unnamed individuals of exploiting the political impasse for personal financial gain, likening their actions to operating an “oil well” of illicit funds.
Wike also dismissed the need to publicly disclose the details of the peace terms with Fubara, insisting he owes no one an explanation.
