Reactions have trailed the gruesome murder of peaceful protesters by soldiers at the Lekki toll gate in Lagos yesterday. This was allegedly for disobeying the 24-hr curfew imposed by the Lagos State Government, to put an end the #EndSARS protests.
Former US Presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton called on the federal government to stop killing peaceful protesters.
Renowned economist, Pat Utomi who condemned the act warned the government to tread with caution as the youths are capable of staging a war against the authorities.
Ace comedian, AY said we are being treated and killed like animals, musicians Davido and Runtown have called on President Buhari to Resign, while Burna Boy said: “The whole government should step down”. Dele Momodu on his part said it is baffling, Olamide described it as “complete madness.”
Meanwhile, outspoken cleric Apostle Suleiman has rained curses on the soldiers who gruesomely murdered the peaceful protesters.
