Some women in Port Harcourt are to stage a protest in support of #ENDSARS and #EndPoliceBrutality in Nigeria.
The women are expected to storm the streets this morning expressing their dissatisfaction over the heinous crimes perpetrated by the disbanded SARS unit.
Organisers of the protest have called on women in the state to come out in their numbers to ask authorities to put an end to police brutality in the country.
Meanwhile, Mrs. Egberigbe widow of Fred Egberigbe, a lecturer at the Ken Saro-Wiwa Polytechnic allegedly killed by SARS operatives during the 2019 general elections has thrown her weight behind the protests by the youths and the women in the state.
Mrs. Egberigbe in a chat with journalists over the weekend said the call has been long overdue. She said SARS operatives cut-short the life of her husband for standing for justice.
