The Caretaker Mayor of Port Harcourt City Local Government Area, Hon. Ezebunwo Ichemati says women will be the first beneficiaries of his upcoming empowerment programme.
Ichemati made this known at St Thomas Anglican Church in Diobu, Port Harcourt, on Sunday.
According to him the empowerment of women is at the top of his agenda.
“The empowerment of women is at the top of my agenda,” the Mayor declared. “Their roles as mothers and their contributions to a successful society cannot be ignored, diminished, or dismissed,” he said.
