The Rivers State Police Command, says efforts are on to rescue a man abducted by unknown gunmen along the Emouha/Kalabari Road.
State commissioner of Police, Eboka Friday in a statement yesterday, said the man was abducted on Wednesday.
This was hours after over 24 bus passengers abducted along the road, few days ago regained their freedom.
The CP, explained that the passengers were rescued from the kidnappers hideout.
He noted that the command will do everything possible to ensure the release of the new abductee.
Meanwhile, commercial drivers plying the road says the Police are only interested in extorting them.
They threatened to stop plying the road by Monday, if adequate measures to ensure the protection of lives and properties were not put in place.
