Three days after the death of the Vice Chairman of the Obelle Council of Chiefs – Ferdinand Dabiri, the Sole Administrator of Emohua Local Government Area, Hon. Franklin Ajunwo, on Tuesday inaugurated the Emohua Local Vigilante Service (EMOVIS) to strengthen security and tackle criminality in the area.
At the ceremony held at the Council Secretariat, Ajunwa charged EMOVIS operatives to focus on protecting lives and property, and to collaborate with the police by arresting and handing over suspects for prosecution.
He cautioned against human rights violations, warning that the council would not tolerate any form of misconduct. He also pledged full support for the vigilante group to ensure it operates effectively.
Ajunwa reiterated his administration’s commitment to addressing insecurity through collaboration with security agencies. The event drew local government officials, security operatives, and community leaders.
