The Vice Chancellor of Rivers State University (RSU), Professor Isaac Zeb-Obipi, on Monday met with students following the disappearance of four learners from the institution’s Emohua campus.
Addressing a worried student community, Professor Zeb-Obipi assured that the university is working closely with security agencies to uncover those responsible and ensure they face the law. He also announced the suspension of all lectures across the university as a safety measure.
The missing students are Sampson London Chinemun, Precious Geoffrey Onyebuchi, Azubuike E. Kenechukwu, and Prince Sampson.
Professor Zeb-Obipi further stated that the university would meet with the Rivers State Governor to ensure that all student concerns are fully addressed.
University management confirmed that coordinated efforts with security formations are ongoing to secure the safe return of the students and restore calm within the campus community.
