Emohua Local Government Emergency Management Committee hits the ground running with the distilling of drainages and clearing of the unwanted plants growing in the median and the shoulders of the Emohua LGA section of the East-West road from Emohua/Choba bridge to the boundary between Emohua and Ahoada-East LGAs through Elele-Alimini.
This is coming a day after the inauguration of the committee by the local government chairman, Sir. Dr Chidi Lloyd JP, DSSRS MCIArb.
While the clearing of the unwanted plants along the East-West road is intended to aid the operations of security personnel along the road, the distilling of the drainages is part of the local government’s proactive steps ahead of the imminent 2023 flood as forecasted by the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet).
The intervention project is in line with the commitment of the administration of Dr Chidi Lloyd to the safety of lives and properties in Emohua LGA.
Chairman of the Local Government Emergency Management Committee, Hon Peter Wogbo led other members of the committee to supervise the work.
