The Caretaker Committee Chairman of Emohua Local Government Area, Hon. Omereji David, has commended the people of Emolga for their patience with his administration on the promise to fully restore electricity in the Local Government Area, which has been in total darkness for the past three years.
Media aide to the chairman – Chizi Enyi in a statement said, Hon. Omereji immediately after his promise, restored electricity in Elele Alimini, Egbeda, Akpabu, and Itu with an additional five transformers within the first two months of his administration.
He also said the Chairman has been working tirelessly to make sure that electricity is restored in other parts of Emolga despite the huge amount of money needed.
“I am pleased to announce to the public that the full restoration of electricity in the entire Emolga has commenced as work has started day and night along East/West Road, starting from Elele Alimini to Ogbakiri junction. You can go there to see things for yourself,” he said.
The Chairman warned vandals who are in the habit of sabotaging government efforts to stay clear or face the full wrath of the law when arrested.
He directed security agencies to takeover the monitoring of the lines where the work is ongoing pending the full implementation of the profiling of the local security service.
