The Emohua Local Government Council has announced a return to its digital identification system, an innovation first introduced by the administration of Chairman Sir Chidi Lloyd in 2021.
In a statement issued on Saturday, September 27, 2025, the council declared that all identification cards issued between March 2024 and August 2025 have been invalidated.
Indigenes of the local government who obtained IDs within the affected period, as well as new applicants, are advised to reapply online through the official Emohua council website, https://emolga.riversstateapps.ng, or visit the council headquarters for processing.
According to the statement signed by Bright Jossy-Elendu, Executive Assistant and Chief Press Secretary to the Chairman, the decision aligns with the Greater Emolga Continuity and Consolidation Agenda of Sir Chidi Lloyd’s administration.
