A criminal hideout operated by the leader of a notorious criminal gang, Nwodi Onuigwe situated in a riverbank between Elibrada-Emohua and Ogbodo-Isiokpo was today destroyed under the supervision of Chairman of Emohua LGA, Hon. Chidi Lloyd.
Bright Jossy, media aide to Chidi Lloyd made this known in a statement Today.
Lloyd in a chat with journalists described today as a “sad day” and called on residents of the area to cooperate with security operatives to effectively fight crime and criminality.
He advised criminals in the area to turn over a new leaf, and report to the council for reintegration.
Recall that four members of the notorious gang were recently killed during a gun battle with security personnel who trailed them to Ogoloma in Okrika LGA.
However, another member of the gang who was arrested alive few days ago confessed to the existence of the hideout which was accessible from Elibrada-Emohua, the hometown of the leader of the gang, Nwodi .
