The chairman of Emohua Local Government Area, Hon. Chidi Lloyd has given automatic emoloyment to wives of soldiers who died in service to the nation, who are indigenes of the council.
Bright Jossy-Elendu, Chief Press Secretary to the council Chairman made this known in a statement Today.
According to him, the chairman made the announcement at the wreath laying ceremony in commemoration of the 2024 Armed Forces Remembrance Day Celebration held at the Local Government Headquarters on Monday.
He said the employment was part of his administration’s support for wives of the fallen heroes, in recognition of the sacrifices of their departed husbands to the unity of Nigeria.
The council chairman also announced the donation of One Million Naira to members of the Nigerian legion in Emohua Local Government Area, as part of his administration’s support to the living heroes.
He further disclosed that plans are underway to admit legionnaires who are still very fit into the Emohua Local Government Area Vigilante Services ( EMOVIS), to bring in their wealth of experience in crime fighting into the local government security architecture.
