Chairman of Emohua Local Government Area, Chidi Lloyd has donated food items from his personal farm to Omega Power Ministries.
General Overseer of OPM, Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, Chinyere made this known in a statement, noting that the council chairman provided yams, beans, rice and garri to assist in feeding more than 500 children housed by the ministry.
According to the cleric, catering for the children remains a heavy responsibility, as many of them were abandoned at a very young age with no known relatives to return to.
“Feeding more than 500 children is very heavy. Even if I decide to release some of them to go, where would they go? Some of them were dropped at my gate when they were very small and the persons disappeared,” he said.
While stressing that he was not complaining, Chinyere appealed to members of the public to continue supporting the ministry’s humanitarian efforts, particularly its free school programme.
He said donations can be made to the OPM Free School account with FCMB, Account Number: 0363390061, and prayed for blessings upon those who contribute to the cause.
