The First Lady of Eleme Local Government Area, Chief Mrs. Favour Brain Gokpa, has provided relief and financial assistance to women affected by the October 7, 2024, arson attack on the council secretariat. The vice chairman of the council, Hon. Mrs. TrustGod Apollos, also participated in the support initiative.
The arson incident, which occurred shortly after the police lifted a seal on the LGA, caused extensive damage to the secretariat and disrupted several businesses.
The aid provided by the First Lady and the vice chairman is aimed at easing the hardship faced by the victims and helping them rebuild their livelihoods.
