The Chairman of Eleme Local Government Area, Hon. Brain Gokpa, has pledged to offer scholarships to the best-performing students from the area in the forthcoming Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) exams.
Mrs. Ngajo Ngelale, the council’s supervisor for Education, made this known after the screening of 200 students for the Council’s sponsored JAMB registration. She revealed that the council chairman was impressed by the turnout of eligible candidates and promised scholarships to those who achieve high scores, beating the cutoff points for their chosen courses and institutions.
She said the scholarship offer is expected to motivate students to excel in the JAMB exams, which is a crucial step in gaining admission to tertiary institutions in Nigeria.
