The Chairman of Eleme Local Government Area, Chief Hon. Brain Gokpa, has criticized the Port Harcourt Refinery Company (PHRC) for excluding youths from Eleme’s host communities in its employment initiatives.
Speaking during a meeting with the Joint Community Relations Committee (JCRC) and community representatives at the council’s Assembly Chambers, Gokpa expressed his dissatisfaction with the refinery’s approach. He assured stakeholders of his administration’s commitment to resolving the issue, emphasizing his dedication to dismantling obstacles to community progress and youth development.
The council leader called for a collaborative effort to ensure fair opportunities for Eleme youths in future employment programs.
