The graduation ceremony for the four-month technical skills development programme in Filmmaking/Videography and Video Editing, put together by the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) and Nigeria Employers’ Consultative Association (NECA) in partnership with ELANHUB held on Friday, August 5th 2022.
The exercise, coordinated by the Elanhub team held at the organization’s training ground at 10 Evo Road, in GRA, Port Harcourt by 10:00am.
Those involved in the ceremony were over 60 participants who completed the three months training programme in ICT and filmmaking.
The trainees were handed over their certificates amongst other prizes for successfully completing the programme.
Dignitaries such as Prof. G.B Okon, Chief. Dr. Chris Biriowu; South South Chairman NECA and Dr. Paul Orioma; Deputy Director of NECA, graced the occasion to deliver keynote lectures.
The guests in their lectures highlighted the importance of skills acquisition, and urged the trainees to make good use of the skills acquired.
One of the highpoints of the occasion was the presentation of a Camera to the best performing student in the filmmaking category to the excitement of all present.
Participants were skilled in the critical competencies in Information and Communication Technology required to create wealth and be self employed. Empowered with in-depth mentorship.
The ITF-NECA Technical Skills Development Project (TSDP) is a joint initiative by the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) and Nigeria Employers’ Consultative Association (NECA) designed to promote the availability of middle-level manpower with the appropriate Technical and Vocational Skills to meet the identified needs of industries in Nigeria.
