Mary Kekwaru, a staff of Eko Hotel who returned misplaced $70,000 has received two million naira from the Chairman of Ikwerre local government area, Samuel Nwanosike.
Nwanosike had promised to gift her the said sum for her level of honesty.
She received a cheque from the chairman at the council secretariat Today.
Nwanosike in a statement said, “Miss Ngozi Kekwaru, the young Ikwerre lady that returned $70,000 she found in a hotel room in Lagos gets her Two million Naira I promised few days ago.
“For showing such level of honesty, it’s important to identify with her and also use this opportunity to encourage our people to be good ambassadors of Ikwerre kingdom.
