Unknown Gunmen have abducted eight persons along the Kula Abonnema waterways in Rivers State.
Chairman of the State Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria, Jonah Jumbo who made this known in a statement, said the incident happened this morning.
He said five of the eight abducted persons are members of the union who were coming back from a meeting.
He appealed to the government and security agencies to ensure the release of the kidnap victims.
Jumbo, also called on the abductors to release them unconditionally.
