Factional Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly – Rt. Hon. Edison Ehie has instituted a suit at the Federal High Court in Port Harcourt asking it to commit the other Speaker, Hon. Martin Amaewhule and his Deputy, Dumle Maol to prison for disobeying an order of the court.
Recall that Ehie who was earlier removed as Leader of the House had secured a court injunction restraining Amaewhule and other lawmakers from holding further sittings at the Assembly Complex.
Ehie and three other lawmakers are loyal to the state governor – Sim Fubara while Amaewhule and 26 others are loyal to the FCT Minister – Nyesom Wike.
