Nigeria’s Minister of Health, Dr. Osagie Ehanire has urged hospitals in the country to have a holding room where patients can be kept until the government comes to take them to the appropriate treatment centre.
Ehanire made this known while speaking at the media briefing by the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 in Abuja on Friday.
The minister during the briefing called on hospitals not to reject patients in dire need of medical attention whether they show COVID-19 symptoms or not.
“The policy of the government is that all persons who come to the hospital should be given attention no matter how basic, and the hospital in turn should call for help,” he asserted.
