The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC), has confirmed the arrest and detention of former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello over allegations of misappropriation of funds.
Head of Media and Publicity of the EFCC Dele Oyewale made this known in a statement Today.
According to him, the former Kogi Governor was arrested at the commission’s headquarters in Jabi, Abuja, by a team of operatives.
“Yes, he (Yahaya Bello) was arrested today around 12:54 PM, together with three of his lawyers. He is having a session with our investigators and is now in our custody,” Oyewale said, confirming the development,” he said.
