The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested 37 individuals in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, for alleged involvement in internet fraud.
The suspects were apprehended by operatives of the Commission’s Port Harcourt Zonal Directorate on Friday at different locations across the city, following actionable intelligence on their suspected cybercrime activities.
According to the EFCC, items recovered during the operation include various models of vehicles, mobile phones, and laptops allegedly containing incriminating content.
The Commission stated that the suspects will be prosecuted upon the conclusion of investigations.
