Operatives of the Port Harcourt Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have arrested 36 suspected internet fraudsters in Port Harcourt, Rivers State
The commission in a statement said the suspects were arrested on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 in a sting operation at various locations within Port Harcourt following credible intelligence about their suspected involvement in internet- related fraud.
Items recovered from them include different models of exotic vehicles, a Q-link Motorcycle, various brands of phone and laptop containing incriminating and fraudulent documents.
It added that the suspects will be charged in court upon the conclusion of the investigation.
