Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has accused the Inspector General of Police, Adamu Adamu of asking him to leave Edo state as his presence is causing crime and panic.
Governor Wike who made this known in a telephone interview in Edo also accused the IGP, of placing him under house arrest.
Wike stated that after he told the IGP that he cannot leave, over 300 policemen barricaded his hotel.
He said, he will not be voting in the election but would go round to monitor the exercise.
