The people of Ebubu in Eleme Local Government Area of Rivers State, have appealed to the state government to build a befitting health center for the community,
Chief, Ferdinand Lugbe a prominent member of the community made the appeal during the maiden Health/Educational Rhapsody by the Nigerian Navy for residents of Ebubu at the Community Secondary School, Ebubu-Eleme on Tuesday.
According to him, the community have been denied access to adequate healthcare since the destruction of its general hospital by suspected cultists during the administration of Rt. Hon. Chibuike Amaechi.
He also said they have been in dire need of a medical outreach, and commended the Navy for the free medical programme.
He equally called for the fencing of the community school to help curtail the activities of vandals.
On her part, the Rivers State Commissioner for Health, Hon. Adaeze Oreh who represented Gov. Sim Fubara vowed to communicate their requests to the state governor.
