Governorship candidate of the Accord Party in Rivers State, Chief, Dumo Lulu-Briggs has reportedly paid the fees of 32 stranded students of the Rivers State University.
Prince Wiro, a member of the Center For Basic Rights and Accountability Campaign disclosed this in a statement Today.
He also said Dumo promised to pay the fees of about 200 students on Wednesday.
Wiro commended Dumo for the kind gesture and urged those who have the financial capacity to emulate him.
His statement reads,
I sincerely commend Chief Dumo Lulu Briggs for paying the school fees of stranded 32 Students of Rivers State University who were prevented from writing exams for non-payment of school fees.
Chief Dumo Lulu Briggs has also said between Today and Tommorow He will again pay school fees for atleast Two hundred Students.
It is a kind gesture worthy of commendation.
I use this medium to call on other persons who has the financial capacity to come to the aide of students of Rivers State University who are financially handicapped.
