The Department of State Services (DSS) has dismissed 115 personnel as part of its internal reforms aimed at strengthening discipline and maintaining professional standards within the agency.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the DSS said the dismissals were carried out over a period of time and aligned with ongoing efforts to eliminate misconduct and corruption in the Service.
The agency also alerted the public to be cautious of some former personnel who continue to falsely present themselves as active officers.
“In addition to earlier disclaimers on the duo of Barry Donald and Victor Onyedikachi Godwin, the Service finds it necessary to warn citizens of the fraudulent activities of some of these persons still posing as DSS personnel,” the statement added.
