Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has criticised what he described as a display of ego among some members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), stressing that “money does not solve everything.”
Wike made the remarks on Wednesday during the inauguration of the newly constructed Interchange Bridge connecting Wole Soyinka Way to Murtala Mohammed Expressway in Abuja.
Addressing the controversy surrounding the position of National Secretary of the PDP, Wike dismissed the need for a formal directive for Samuel Anyanwu to resume office, insisting that Anyanwu had never stopped functioning in that capacity.
“Samuel Anyanwu does not need anyone to direct him to resume,” Wike said, adding, “If you want to learn, come, we will teach you.”
The comments come amid growing internal tensions in the PDP over leadership and party administration.
