A suspect has been arrested for trying to strangle an E-cab driver with a rope in Port Harcourt, Today.
The driver in a chat with journalists said three men boarded his cab from Rumuola, and that immediately they entered, the suspects gave him N1,000 and while he was about giving them their balance one of them tied his neck with a rope.
He said, he struggled with the rope, as the others collected the money he had with him.
The driver, explained that the suspects took to their heels when they could not overpower him, as he held one of them.
He said some local vigilante personnel around the area intervened and arrested the one he was struggling with.
The Cab driver called for the protection of drivers, adding that the attack on them is getting out of hand.
