- Place N1M bounty each for information on the wanted persons
The Executive Chairman of Etche Local Government Area, Chief Hon. Obinna Anyanwu, Ph.D has declared six persons wanted in connection with series of crimes such as terrorism, and cultism across various communities in the area.
The chairman of council made this known in a statement on Tuesday.
Dr. Anyanwu listed the suspects as; Iheanyichukwu Echezulor (aka Choroncho) from Egwi Etche, Samuel Chike (aka Ojukwu) from Obibi community, and Dikachi Nwokogba (aka money must make) from Umuaturu community.
Others are: Collins Elebedem (aka Anwuri) from Umuechem community, Nnaa Nwordu from Chokocho community and Okechukwu Chukwudi (aka Prince) a deserted soldier married from Chokocho community.
The chairman described the declared persons as enemies of Etche for terrorizing and truncating the existing peace being enjoyed in the local government.
The Etche council boss urged all well-meaning members of the general public to assist security agencies with useful information which would facilitate the arrest of those declared wanted.
According to the chairman, one million naira bounty each has been placed for the information that could lead to the arrest of the six persons declared wanted.
Dr. Anyanwu also warned that any individual caught harbouring any of the wanted persons will be treated by the Police as accomplice to the crimes they have been accused of.
