Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri has dismissed viral rumors claiming he impregnated Big Brother Naija reality star, Nengi.

The speculation, which spread widely on social media on Monday, alleged that the reality star had recently given birth to a child for the governor, who is reportedly married to four wives.

Nengi, addressing the claims on X (formerly Twitter), stated emphatically, “Let me be clear, I’m not pregnant for any governor.”

Despite her denial, the rumors continued to circulate online.

Reacting to the controversy, Dr. Samuel Kolawole Oredipe, the Director-General of New Media for the governor, described the reports as baseless. In a Facebook post on Monday evening, he clarified that Nengi has no personal relationship with Governor Diri, dismissing the allegations as false.
